Four STEM teachers (Darlene Huertas, Liz Almodóvar, Diana Borgos, and Aquila Lebrón) from the Puerto Rico Department of Education joined us last summer. These teachers were engaged in real-world research experiences at UPR-RP and UAGM, received training on X-ray diffraction techniques and curricular development, and each prepared an educational module to be incorporated in their schools within the next two academic years.
