UPRM Chemistry student awarded best poster presentation at ACS 46th Senior Technical Meeting<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

The chemistry department congratulates undergraduate chemistry student\u00a0Joshua Rivera<\/strong>\u00a0for receiving\u00a0first place in the poster presentation competition<\/strong>\u00a0during the American Chemical Society 46th<\/sup>\u00a0Senior Technical Meeting. The event titled\u00a0\u201cWhere ideas collide and transformations begin\u201d<\/em>\u00a0took place at Hotel Costa Bah\u00eda, Guayanilla on Saturday November 4th<\/sup>. More than seventy-nine students presented their poster during the research competition.<\/p>\n

Joshua\u2019s award-winning poster was titled \u201cExploring Two-dimensional Copper Zinc-Heterostructures as Electrocatalyst for decarbonization Technology\u201d. His research was performed under the mentorship of Dr. Joselyn Del Pilar (UPRM) and Dr. Richard D. Robinson (Cornell University) while participating in the NSF-PREM 2023 CIE2<\/sup>M-CHESS summer internship<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
